At Undone Kin, we believe pleasure and safety go hand in hand (or rope in rope 😉).
Before diving into your next Shibari session, take a moment to check in, communicate, and keep things deliciously safe:
Before You Tie:
🌬️ Always talk about boundaries, comfort levels, and safe words first.
🖤 Avoid tying too tightly — you should be able to slip two fingers under the rope.
💬 Keep your rope away from the neck, joints, or areas with delicate nerves.
✂️ Have a pair of safety scissors or a quick-release tool close by, just in case.
During Play:
* Check in often — both verbally and through body language.
* Watch for tingling, numbness, or discolouration and untie immediately if noticed.
* Never leave anyone tied up unattended.
Aftercare:
* Untie slowly, hydrate, and share a moment to reconnect.
You can massage any rope marks with a gentle body oil or balm — think of it as the afterglow ritual.
Cleaning & Care:
* Natural jute benefits from gentle care — coil neatly after each use and store in a dry place. To keep it soft, you can lightly oil the rope with natural hemp or jojoba oil.
